Outgoing letter/お手紙発送

Do you celebrate Halloween?  Here in Japan, it’s getting popular and at stores you can find lots of Halloween goods like candies, stationery (yes!), costumes etc, but it’s just for a little fun. I saw my American penpal started talking about Halloween on her facebook, so I decorated her letter a bit like Halloween. :)  I failed to draw the spider's web on the upper left corner, but oh well. lol  I wish we had some spooky stamps to match the Halloween theme!
Hope she will like it. :)

日本でもおなじみになってきたハロウィン。最近はお店でハロウィングッズを見かける時期になりました。アメリカのペンパルに送った手紙の封筒はハロウィン仕様にしました(^^)楽しんでもらえますように。

  1. The spider's web looks pretty good :) In Venezuela, we don't celebrate it, although in the last few years you can find some halloween stuff in a few stores :)

    1. Thanks! I tried to draw it more horror-taste, but it ended up being rather cute. lol It's interesting to see how countries adopt culture/event from another country. :) Last night at a store, I saw a big section for only Halloween goods. It seems like Halloween is becoming a big thing here! :D

  2. Halloween is not celebrated in India and it hasn't got that famous over here. I have been searching for Halloween goodies in my town but ended up finding nothing.I wish it gets a little bit famous here as well.

    1. I kind of think that the biggest reason for Halloween to be popular here is because we don't have any event in autumn that can be commercialized. They want us to spend money occasionally, I guess. :p But it's fun to have some theme to decorate the envelopes though. I like Halloween stationery. :)

  3. Halloween started to be popular here a few years ago when some group of young people organized the costume party. Since then it is organized every year... But all the things to decorate a place or the costumes for people are handmade. We can`t buy anything (or I haven`t seen anything) with Halloween theme on it... I would really like to see those Halloween stationary.

    1. Oh, so maybe it's more like for young people over there? Here, it's more for little kids. I saw lots of tiny cute costumes at stores for kids but not much for adults. I haven't gotten much Halloween stationery this year but will start shopping for them for a little decoration on my envelopes or lettersheets. :)

    2. Yes, I can say young people enjoys Halloween more than kids. And I like to see all nice costumes people make. They are really creative! But I didn`t go to any of the Halloween parties, `couse I`m not that creative. And I`m not that into parties :)

  4. I don't celebrate Halloween and it's not really popular in France. Not as much as it used to be. Now you almost see no one trick and treating, while when I was a young child (10-15 years ago, I suddenly feel old! XD) there were quite a lot.

    1. Hahaha, same here! When I say something like "When I was young (10-15 years ago)...", I suddenly feel old! lol Time flies so fast! XD I don't think that here kids actually visit houses for trick or treat, so that's interesting that in France it was actually popular even for a while. :)
